Der brillante international bekannte Dirigent François wird ausgewählt die Mailänder Scala zu leiten. Gerade dabei seine erfolgreiche Karriere zu beenden, traut er seinen Ohren nicht, war das doch immer sein ultimativer Traum. Sein Sohn Denis, ebenfalls ein preisgekrönter Dirigent, freut sich für seinen Vater, ist aber auch etwas neidisch.
